More Information Our founder is an adventurer who loves exploring the world. On a trip to Mexico, Mike was approached by a young boy selling bracelets in the plaza, and he couldn’t help but buy one of his colorful string bracelets. Mike would see young Miguel often in the plaza, and they would do their best to converse using the little bits of Spanish and English they both knew. One night, as Mike returned to his hotel, he saw a group of children huddled on a sheet of cardboard in a doorway. To his surprise, there among the homeless children was Miguel.
As Mike continued walking, his hotel key weighed heavily in his hand as he thought about those without a place to call home. This was a personal and very real glimpse into the daily struggles that so many children endure. Mike would never forget the silent struggle Miguel faced. Since that day, he has made it his mission to tackle these challenges head-on. Mike is committed to making a life-changing difference in the lives of children and youth in the communities Roof Maxx serves.
Our Giving Partner
Roof Maxx is proud to support the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, a national, nonprofit public charity on a mission to find safe, permanent homes for the longest-waiting children in foster care across the United States. Through its national awareness campaigns and signature programs, the Foundation is dedicated to realizing the vision that every child will have a permanent home and a loving family.
The Key
We use the symbol of a key to represent how growing up in a forever home changes everything. We believe that by playing our part, we help open the door for every waiting child to have the opportunity for a bright future with the love and support of a forever family.
Our Goal
Each member of the Roof Maxx community, including team members, dealer partners, customers and vendors, plays a vital role in creating positive change for children lingering in foster care. Every one of us can make a difference by raising awareness of the urgent need for foster care adoption and getting involved to help.
Roof Maxx has set a goal to help find forever families for 25,000 children waiting in foster care by 2030.
